Elder Frank Dewayne Stevenson Sr.
The Preacher:
Elder Frank Stevenson acknowledged his call to preach in February, 2003. He preached his trial sermon (A Weeping Savior) that same year at Greater Grace Temple Church. He served as director over the media ministry and assistant to Pastor Breonus Mitchell for over three years. He then reunited with Galilee Primitive Baptist Church and spent the next year training in ministry under Elder Robert Stevenson. In January, 2005, he accepted the invite to serve as the 5th pastor of St. James Primitive Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN. On March 12, 2005, he was ordained by the Lynn Creek Association and submitted to the pastoral leadership of Elder Thomas Givens. Elder Stevenson and his family drove over 300 miles per week to meet the ministerial needs of his fast growing congregation. While in Pulaski, God blessed Elder Stevenson to change lives. People were healed and delivered on the convictions of his anointed preach word. In February 2007, the St. Luke PB Church body unanimously elected Elder Stevenson to serve as the 8th pastor of their prestigious and historical church.
Elder Stevenson has been working hard for the Lord as Pastor of St. Luke PB church. The membership at St Luke has grown from 50 to over 1000 in the past four years, under his leadership. Elder stevenson was elected 2011 "Pastor of the Year" for the Nashville Gospel Music Award. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Tennessee State Primitive Baptist Convention and the Vice Moderator for the Cumberland Association of Primitive Baptist Churches. He holds a BA from the Univeristy of Tennessee at Martin and a Master's of Public Administration from Murray State University.
The Family Man:
Frank was born on February 21, 1974 to Renetta Stevenson in Nashville Tennessee. He has two sisters Theresa Stevenson and (Eugene) Shameka Caldwell, and one brother Ronnie Stevenson (Tabitha). Frank is happily married to Lekita Stevenson and they are raising four children together: Matthew, Tayanna, LaMonica, and Frank Jr. He is affectionately referred to as Uncle Frank by a host of nieces and nephews.
